I've mentioned here and there that I'm not really into seasonal or holiday decor in my own home. I do, however, love a seasonal or themed tablescape, but otherwise, I keep things pretty even-keeled year-round in terms of decor.
However, I'm definitely excited about decorating for Christmas this year. This will be our first Christmas in our new home and our only engaged Christmas (we got engaged 3 days after Christmas last year!!). So I really want to make this memorable!!
Anyway, I have been browsing around on sites like Pinterest for some inspiration. Usually, I can go to Pinterest and find a wealth of whatever it is that I am looking for. However, it was SO hard to find anything that really 'sparked joy' in the Christmas decor department! Everything is either way too 'much' or cluttered or it's too neutral or too colorful.
My decor is pretty traditional and I'm definitely into more classic Christmas decor as well as touches of nostalgia here and there. I am all about decorating my tree with meaningful ornaments I have collected over my lifetime. There is no 'theme' in my decor or anything like that. I'm also in the 'less is more' camp. So I thought I would share some images that I found that inspire me in case you got frustrated in your search for traditional Christmas decor, too!
I plan on decorating this week and next. I know that is crazy early but Thanksgiving is later this year (and we do Thanksgiving at my parents anyway), and I like to have the decor up for upcoming content! Plus, longer to enjoy it!!
Do you have a favorite source for Christmas decor that is timeless and classic? I'm honestly not looking to go into a store like At Home and just buy a ton of 'crap'. I'm really looking to only add a few high-quality, beautiful touches that will last a lifetime. So far, I have found a few great things from Ballard Designs and my trusty Homegoods! I've also been eyeing some things on One King's Lane and ordered a few things from L.L. Bean already.
