Liam Hemsworth's sister-in-law, Elsa Pataky, has come into the limelight for fiercely blasting Liam's ex-wife and partner of a decade Miley Cyrus. Elsa, who is married to Liam's older brother, Chris Hemsworth, spoke during a press conference held in Madrid this week, and broke her silence on the split saying that her brother-in-law 'deserves much better.'
'My brother-in-law, well… after a relationship that you've dedicated ten years to, he's a little bit down, but he's coping well, he's a strong boy and he deserves the best,' said the Spanish model, according to Hola! magazine.
The 43 year old, who previously has had a good friendship with Miley, added on, 'I think he deserves much better.' Speaking about the doomed relationship and being there for her brother-in-law, Elsa commented, 'You always find support in your family, and he's joined at the hip with Chris, who has been there to give all the strength he needed.'
Miley, 26, had been close to Liam's family during their decade-long relationship, and often went on trips with his family members. Miley and Elsa even got matching tattoos as a tribute to their friendship three years ago, and the ladies, despite their 17 year age gap, would often spend time together in Byron Bay, the coastal town in Australia where the Hemsworths own several properties.
Elsa's comments came as sharp and fierce, as she often shared happy snaps of herself with Miley, spending time together. Miley and Liam announced their split in August, after just eight months of marriage, and before that they had been dating on/off for ten years.
Shortly after breaking up with Liam, Miley went on a brief romance with U.S. reality star Kaitlynn Carter, but they broke up within a few weeks, and the pop star moved on quick with Australian musician Cody Simpson, 22. Liam is said to be dating 22-year-old actress Maddison Brown, and has been spotted a couple of times with her on dates.
