Justin Bieber Asks Fans to 'Take a Chill Pill' at Show in England Watch Maggie Rogers Throw Epic ...

Justin Bieber performs on Sept. 20, 2016 in Paris.

"I don't feel like I'm being heard sometimes, and it gets a little frustrating."

After a near-decade of life at the receiving end of ceaseless adolescent shrieking, Justin Bieber is finally begging for mercy. On Tuesday night (Oct. 18) at the Birmingham, stop of his Purpose World Tour, The Biebs took a moment to plead with his fans to maybe kinda sorta occasionally cool it with the screaming.

"Hey, guys, could you do me a favor?" he said, interrupting his own monologue to ask for the vocal English crowd's attention. "Could you guys just relax? For, like, two seconds?... I get it, but I'm like two feet away from you, and I can hear you. I appreciate it, I appreciate all the love, it's amazing, but can you show it in a different way?"

"The screaming is just so obnoxious," Bieber continued. "I get it, it's been in our blood, it's ingrained that you go to a concert and you scream and stuff. But, if we could just scream after the song -- enjoy the song, you scream, it was awesome, it's fun, and then... you take a chill pill for a second, and we just listen to me speak. 'Cause I don't feel like I'm being heard sometimes, and it gets a little frustrating. So if when I'm speaking, you guys could not speak at the top of your lungs, is that cool with you guys? Could we do that?"

Bieber then finished thanking his fans for keeping him company on the road, concluding with, "Now scream." The Beliebers, as always, were happy to oblige.
