Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are not "talking marriage," despite a report. This story also untruthfully claims the superstar wants to have a baby with the model. But as Gossip Cop has already confirmed, they are not even an official couple.
"Justin Wedding Shocker: I'm Marrying Hailey," reads a headline in the new issue of In Touch. Of course, Bieber never actually made such a remark. Nonetheless, the tabloid declares, "Brace yourself, Beliebers — Justin Bieber is marrying Hailey Baldwin!" In the wake of the pair being photographed showing PDA, the magazine quotes a so-called "insider" as saying, "It's finally registered that Hailey is what he's wanted in a partner all along."
Now "when it comes to settling down," it's alleged Bieber "isn't wasting any time." Contends the supposed source, "All he talks about is getting married and having kids." The outlet's purported tipster claims Baldwin "would love to have his baby," and even asserts that she "understands him better than anyone." But what about Selena Gomez, with whom Bieber was back together earlier this year? The questionable "insider" deems her a "distant memory," maintaining, "Justin loves Hailey."
While Bieber has spoken multiple times over the years about wanting to one day become a husband and a father, it's telling that this story is all about how he's "marrying" Baldwin, yet contains absolutely no details about the stars actually tying the knot. When are they getting married? Where will the nuptials be held? Is Baldwin planning a pregnancy around her modeling career? None of this key information is provided. Also not mentioned is a 2016 story in which this same publication claimed Bieber and Gomez were getting married in a "secret wedding."
Bieber may only be 24, but the tabloid actually has a long history of trying to marry him off. Once again, though, its claims are premature and inaccurate. Last week, People reported in an article about Bieber and Baldwin stepping out together that they are "not in a relationship," but simply "two single people that enjoy each other's company." It was also stressed that he is "not dating anyone seriously." PDA with Baldwin shouldn't be misconstrued as evidence otherwise.
In fact, just one day ago, E! Online did a whole report exploring Bieber and Baldwin's relationship status, explaining that although she "would happily be his girlfriend," there's "no label." In other words, their dynamic is casual. And the notion that Bieber is rushing to marry someone who isn't even his girlfriend is absurd. It becomes even more ridiculous when you consider In Touch's track record.
Furthermore, while this tale is about not "wasting any time" and rushing to the altar, Bieber explained in a 2016 GQ cover story why he wouldn't want to rush things with her. "What if Hailey ends up being the girl I'm gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it's always gonna be damaged. It's really hard to fix wounds like that," he said. Even in that interview, he agreed that Baldwin is "just a friend he kisses."
At this point in time, there's no evidence his stance has changed. It is entirely possible that Bieber and Baldwin's PDA will evolve into a serious relationship. But they're not there yet, and they certainly aren't marrying and having kids together any time soon.
