I thought the DC Comics stamps issued by the US Postal Service last year were pretty cool, but I've always been more of a Marvel guy than a DC guy. So imagine my surprise and delight when I went to the post office the other day and saw that they were releasing a similar set featuring stars of the Marvel Universe.I picked up a couple sheets the other day and I can't wait to send off payments and deposits featuring Captain America, Wolverine and Spider-Man. Not sure how Elektra and Spider-Woman make the cut over the likes of Daredevil, but okay.
Speaking of comic book heroes, the teaser trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT is now available on-line and there's also a first good look at Heath Ledger as The Joker.
Unfortunately, the footage for IRON MAN has already been pulled from You Tube. I don't know a whole lot about the character – I was always more of a Daredevil, Spidey, Batman fan – but the footage shown was impressive, Robert Downey seems great in the role as the cocky Tony Stark, and the stuff they screened showed that they're going to give us the whole progression of Iron Man suits, from the early grey armor to the iconic red and yellow seen in the stamp above.
